I'm very excited to announce the unveiling of a great new series of 6 articles, in association with the fine folks at Vectortuts+. The series is aptly titled Core Art Skills, covering the important solid skill-set you need to be a good, accomplished professional illustrator. This includes: Self Critiquing -looking at your working practices, getting the most out of your Sketchbook, competence in Figure Drawing, understanding 3D (including perspective, space, depth and lighting in your work), and using traditional methods of generating great textures. 

I've designed the course to complement, and improve upon, a digital workflow. It's tailored to save time, and increase productivity -its all from personal experience! I really hope it's an asset to those who read and take part in the course. All through the course i set projects to apply some of the principles i discuss, and all throughout the articles are handy tips and advice. It's for Pro's looking to brush up (after all, we can all improve) and for those just starting out too!
